Teach recognition and boundaries
A payer-literate team should recognize the difference between a coverage restriction, incomplete documentation and a workflow issue. It should also understand what falls outside its role: clinical decisions, unsupported claims and promises about payer approval.
Use account-specific scenarios
Work through anonymized scenarios with sales, medical and market-access colleagues. Ask what the team observed, which information is missing and who owns the next step. The value is in better recognition and escalation.
Close the feedback loop
Record field observations in a consistent taxonomy and compare them with authorized operational data where available. Field feedback is a useful signal; it becomes stronger when tested against a defined evidence base.
